Style Guide
If a customer does not specify particular stylistic requirements for a translation, I work according to my own style guide, in line with DIN EN 15038.
On 1 August 2006, the current German orthography rules came into force. These rules incorporate the changes made by the Council for German Orthography. Since that date, my standard procedure has been to use the orthographic forms given in the current edition of DUDEN Die deutsche Rechtschreibung, Mannheim. If two acceptable forms are given, I use the one that is recommended by DUDEN.
